Announcements 3/3

March 3rd, 2020
  • A message from Health Services:
  • During this time of year (and all times of year), it is important to focus on simple steps that can keep you and your family healthy. You can do your part to keep your student and family healthy by doing the following:
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care. Be sure to keep your child home from school and all activities for a fever of 100.4 or higher. Call the school to report your child’s absence. Keep your child home until the fever stays below 100.4 for 24 hours without having to use a medication such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen to bring it down.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains 60 to 95% alcohol.
  • All student Ambassadors need to meet in the media center on Thursday, March 5 @ 8:45 for a yearbook picture.  Please make sure you wear your shirt.
  • Together we can change the world, just one act of kindness and love at a time.  Will you please participate next week in donating food items for those in need?  Start planning now to be a part of the “Spread the Love” spirit week from March 9-13.
  • Only 4 more days to make your first Washington DC payment.  This Friday, March 6 is the deadline for your first payment on the Washington DC Trip.  Payment is made to Martin School Travel, the green forms are returned to HHMS.
  • Tryouts for Girls Tennis will be Tuesday through Friday this week from 3:45-5:00, weather permitting.  Players must have a physical on file in the Athletic Office and bring the Tennis Emergency Form to Coach Patty.  Players should also bring a water jug with at least 1/2 gallon of water.
