  • 2021 Highland Hills Middle School Swimming & Diving Team Information

Due to COVID this year we will be limiting the number of athletes on the middle school swimming & diving team. It is of the utmost importance to us that we give our student athletes an opportunity to compete on their school team in a safe environment.

  • If you have questions, contact coach Joe Perkins   ~ jperkins@nafcs.org

  • Tryouts: A day students & 6th graders on the 15th & B day students & 5th graders on the 16th.  All virtual students can come either day.

  • To make the team this year you need to be able to swim 50 yards of freestyle & backstroke in under 40 seconds.

  • Diving Tryouts: A day students & 6th graders on the 15th & B day students & 5th graders on the 16th. All virtual students can come either day.

  • To make the team this year you need to exhibit control over 2 dives.

  • Practices: Practices will be immediately after school.  They will be designed to give everyone an opportunity to learn and practice competitive swimming & diving skills.

  • Athletes should report to the pool locker room after school, change clothes and enter the pool area.  Please do not leave anything in the locker room. Bring all belongings onto the pool deck.

  • Practice will start and finish at the times listed on the calendar.  Please do not take a long time to get ready for practice or wander the halls after school.

  • Parents: Please pick up athletes at door 31 after practice.

  • Meets:  We will have four home meets this season along with the Clark-Floyd Championship.  We will do our best to get athletes in all dual meets. The Clark/Floyd line up will be limited.

  • Meet line-ups will be posted the day before a meet so athletes will know who will need to be there.  If an athlete is not on a line-up they do not need to attend that meet.

  • Team Pictures: Team pictures will be Wednesday March 6th. Athletes will receive an order form and can order team & individual pictures. It is not a requirement to order pictures. It is good for all team members to be in the picture since it will be in the yearbook.

Good luck to any of our Jaguars that perform or play this evening.

Remember to STAY HUMBLE, WORK HARD, and BE KIND!

Thank you for doing the Best of Your Ability!

Have a great afternoon.
