HHMS Car Rider Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures

The most safe and preferred method when parents choose to provide their own transportation for their student, is for drivers to utilize our Car Rider Line located at the back of the campus. Drop off and pick-up students directly at our Car Rider facility located outside of Door #10 or Door #7. The gates are open from 8:00am-9:30am and 3:00pm-4:30pm for cars to drop-off or pickup students. Please pull up to the cones, so that we can safely unload or load 5-6 cars simultaneously. Enter campus off Edwardsville-Galena Road, next to the bridge (please do not use the Main Entrance at the end of the day as we have 40 buses picking up kids at the front of the building – if you use this method please meet your student on the sidewalk next to the building and walk them to your cars…again this is not part of our Safety Policy) to Indian Creek Lane and follow the Car Rider Line signs.

Something new this year, is the addition of a second waiting line on the south side of the building just past the tennis courts. Once the right lane is full to the marked cones, then begin filling the lane on the left. When that is full we will have two full lines of cars waiting to pick up students. Our goal is to get as many cars off of Edwardsville-Galena Road as possible. The amount of time is the same regardless of the line you choose. When the first lane fills, we monitor the last car to make sure we dismiss the second line in the proper order.

Again, all of this is to increase safety of our students, parents and staff members by removing as many cars as possible from Edwardsville-Galena Road. If you have questions, please feel free to contact our Administrative Team.
