Camp Classes Offered
*All grade levels are referring to incoming levels for the 20-21 school year
Exploring Theatre – Grades 1-3
9:30 AM – 10:20 AM
Experience the magic of theatre and the fun of playing a character through this interactive class! Students will learn through games and activities what the art of theatre is and how it works. Based in a playful approach, this class will introduce kids to the excitement of acting and working together.
Musical Theatre – Grades 4-6
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Explore the world of Broadway musicals and learn what it is like to perform in one! This class will discover the basics of musical theatre performance and students will learn how to tell a story through singing, dancing, and acting.
Acting 101 – Grades 4-6
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
Learn how to become a real actor! Through fun activities and performance experiences, students will gain confidence as true thespians. We will use interactive ways of exercising and training the essential acting tools of the actor: the body, the voice and the imagination.
Triple Threat Training – Grades 7-9
2:00 PM – 3:15 PM
Sing, dance, and act your way onto the stage! Whether students are experienced performers or brand new to theatre, this musical theatre class will help students develop the three central skills to performing a Broadway musical.
Acting Institute – Grades 7-9
3:45 PM – 5:00 PM
Learn how to bring a story to life onstage by exploring how real actors step into the shoes of the characters they play. This class will give students the skills to portray authentic characters onstage, whether or not they have previous acting experience.
Technical Theatre & Design – Grades 6-9
6:00 PM – 7:15 PM
Ever wondered how theatrical scenery is created? How stage lighting works? How sound technology is used for live events? How a play goes from an idea to full-scale production? Well, this is the class for you! Students will explore the basic elements of theatrical technology and design. This class is perfect for students that are hands on, crafty, techy, artsy, or scientifically minded. Technical theatre combines practically every discipline you can think of and there is something for everybody!
