Highland Hills Middle School Announcement for Tuesday, September 5, 2023

Parents – We have a need!

The HHMS Clothes Closet is in need of:

  • Boys and girls underwear in a variety of youth and adult sizes.
  • Leggings, sweatpants, and athletic shorts in neutral colors and all sizes.
  • Boys and girls white or black socks in a variety of sizes (non-fuzzy).

Donations can be turned in to grade level counselors in the morning or at lunch.

Your student’s attendance matters!  Highland Hills is recognized by the state for the number of students with at least a 94% attendance rate divided by the total number of students enrolled in the school.  When your student has been absent more than 10 days in a school year no matter what, it hurts our school attendance rate.  We encourage you to take your vacations over our fall, winter, and spring breaks.  We are fortunate to have these long breaks so that our students don’t have to miss during the school year.  Please try to keep your child in school all day, every day. (Unless they have a fever!)

Thank you, Mrs. Ivey

Do you love kids? Have you ever wanted to work on your kids schedule so you could be off when they’re off? We have some positions for you:

(1) Reading Specialist left – just love working with struggling readers and we’ll train you on the job by our District Literacy Coach.

(4) Instructional Assistants – this is a great way to learn right along with the students. You’re able to listen to the lessons from the teacher and then pull small groups for extra support.

Both positions offer benefits. If interested, visit our NAFCS website in our Applitrack system for more details. We’d love for you to be a part of our Jaguar Team.

(1)8th Grade Math Postion – We have been very fortunate to have Mrs. April Elmore cover this position since the start of the school year.  She is a retired math/science teacher from HHMS.  She would like to go back into retirement.  If you have a math degree and love teaching math, please reach out!
