If Ms. Durham read Out of My Mind to you in elementary school, you may be excited to know that book 2, Out of My Heart will be released on November 9th.

HHMS Girls Soccer wrapped up their undefeated season on Friday! The varsity team beat New Albany 6-0. Amelia Kaml, Caroline Kemp, Cassie Oliver, and Heidi Duncan each scored one goal, and Taylor Moore scored two. The JV team tied New Albany 1-1. Bella Stenberg scored for the Lady Jags. Congrats to the entire team for an awesome season!

Congratulations to the girls 6th grade Volleyball team who defeated Hazelwood last night in an exciting match. Outstanding contributions made by Jenna Woten, Autumn Engle, Macy Sorg, Lillie Furmall, Faith Naville and Sarah Yeager.

8th grade Boys Basketball ~ 10/18, 10/19, 10/20 from 5:30-7:00pm
7th grade Boys Basketball ~ 10/18, 10/19 from 7:00-8:30pm
8th grade Girls Basketball ~ 10/18, 10/19, 10/20 from 5:30-7:00pm
7th grade Girls Basketball ~ 10/18, 10/19, 10/20 after school until 5:30pm
6th grade Girls Basketball ~ 10/19, 10/20, (from 7:00 – 8:30 both days) & 10/21 after school until 5:30pm
5th grade Girls Basketball ~ 10/18, 10/19, 10/20 after school to 5:30pm
5th and 6th grade boys tryout the week of December 15th.
Athletes must have a physical on file to try out.

Tryouts for the school teams will not occur until we return from Fall Break.

5th & 6th Grade Girls Basketball ~ There will also be an open gym for girls basketball on Tuesday for 5th & 6th Grade from 5:30-7:00. Runs through fall break. Contact Mr. Miller for any questions.

6th Grade Girls Basketball ~ Open Gym will be on Friday after school until 5:30pm until Fall Break. Coach Jenks will lead.

Intramurals is for any student who is interested in playing sports before the school day begins. We play a different sport every week. Drop off for intramurals is door 28. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Fox.

The Chess Club meets every Monday after school until 5pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, no experience required. The club will meet in Mrs. Milliner’s room (A102).

The Book Club for 5th & 6th grade students will meet on Mondays afterschool until 5:00pm in the library. See Ms. Durham if you have any questions. (Oct. 25, Nov. 8, and Dec. 6)

Dungeons and Dragons ~ If you play Dungeons and Dragons or would like to learn how to play. You are welcome to come to the newly formed Dungeons and Dragons club. We will meet starting the Thursday after fall break until 5:00 in Mrs. Lopp’s room A323.

Masks are mandated INSIDE the school building. Students riding to/from school on a bus must wear a mask due to the federal mandate. Thank you for your support and cooperation. We want to keep everyone safe.
Textbook Rental Fee Invoices~ will go in the mail/email the last week of September with payment being due by Oct 29, 2021.
