Bus Riders – If your bus has NOT arrived in the afternoon, please wait on the sidewalk until it arrives AND the doors open before proceeding to the bus. Just want to keep you safe! Thank you

We continue to have positive cases for Covid here @ HHMS. We are making calls as quickly as possible. If your student is vaccinated and is a close contact, they will NOT have to quarantine.

We found out today that they will no longer accept the antibody tests for students to return early. Thanks for all of your continued support to try to keep our schools from going virtual.

If any household members have a pending covid test, please do NOT send your student to school. Contact the attendance clerk to let them know.

Masks are mandated INSIDE the school building. Students riding to/from school on a bus must wear a mask due to the federal mandate. Thank you for your support and cooperation. We want to keep everyone safe.

There are a limited number of 2020-21 yearbooks available for purchase. They can be purchased from Ms. Benning’s Room, which is Room A-253. Please bring $40 exact change or a check made out to HHMS.

Athletics Announcements (We also have an athletic bulletin board located in the Commons near the pool)

The 7th/8th Grade Boys Soccer dominated rival Scribner on Wednesday for a 3-0 win with an outstanding defensive effort from Holden Graf, Rylan Howe, Tucker Harris, Jaxon Bane and Aiden Campbell. Scoring for HHMS was Rjako Baker, Nolan Kennedy and Holden Goffinet.

Cheer Tryouts for any 5th graders and new HHMS students will be on Thursday, August 26th and Friday, August 27th from 4 to 5:30 both days with the team being announced on Friday at 5:30 and a parent meeting to follow the next Wednesday, September 1st at 6:30pm.

8th grade Boys Basketball ~ will have an “Open Gym” from 5:30 – 7:00pm on Thursdays until Fall Break.

Campus Life for 5-8th grades will begin Friday, August 20 and meet every Friday after school until 5:00pm in the cafeteria. Campus Life is a positive place where students can have fun with friends, talk about relevant issues, and be heard without judgment. It’s a place where you will be challenged to make good decisions and lead in a positive way here at HHMS.

Good luck to any of our Jaguars that perform or play this evening.

Remember that there are three things that YOU can control: your attitude, your actions, and your effort. Give it your best! Have a great afternoon.

- Labor Day/No School – Monday, September 6
- Early Dismissal for Students/Staff Professional Development – Wednesday, September 22 (Students dismiss at 1:45pm)
- Fall Break – October 4 – 15 (We will have intercession. More information will come)

October 26 ~ Picture Retakes
- Parents will be able to order pictures online this year. You will get a specific email with your student’s picture on it to place orders. (5th Grade – Use 1st Period Teacher; 6th Grade – Use your 2nd Period Teacher; 7th/8th – Use your 7th Period Teacher)
