Highland Hills Middle School Afternoon Announcement for Tuesday, August 16, 2022

 

Any students that were absent today, can come down to get their picture taken in the auditorium on Wednesday afternoon @ 3:30pm.

 

 

There was historic flooding in Eastern Kentucky recently. We are asking for help to bring the younger kids of Eastern Kentucky some joy and normalcy as we put together cinch sacks filled with fun items.  Anyone wanting to donate new small stuffed animals would be amazing and bring a smile to someone in need.  Please drop these animals in the box marked Flood Relief located near the office windows in the Commons by next Friday, August 19th. Thank you

 

Period Zero Open House @ FC is on Thursday, August 18th @ 6pm (General Meeting); Report to 1st period Classes @ 6:30pm

• If your student is a 5th grader and they have no older siblings, it is possible that Power School Parent Portal will work.  If not, it will be available later in the month.  This has to be set by our district office. Thank you for your patience.

• Volleyball Picture day- 5th-8th Afterschool Wednesday, August 31st with Bierman Photography

• Football/Cheer recognition for 8th Grade will be on Thursday, September 1st.

• Girls’ Soccer Practice tonight from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. Please return your forms tonight if you did not bring them yesterday.

• Calling all Book Lovers, the 2022-2023 Highland Hills Book Club is beginning.  Meetings will take place on Tuesdays from 4:00 – 5:00PM in the Library.

  • The 7th/8th Grade will meet on the last Tuesday of the month.

  • The 5th/6th Grade will meet on the Second Tuesday of the month.

• Campus Life for 5-8th grades will begin Wednesday, August 17 and meet every Wednesday after school until 5:00pm in the cafeteria. Campus Life is a positive place where students can have fun with friends, talk about relevant issues, and be heard without judgment.
