There will be NO School on Monday, January 18, to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The office will be closed. Please refer to the corporation website for the detailed calendar. Here is next week’s schedule for 7th/8th Grade. 5th/6th will be here Tues – Friday.

If you are interested in auditioning for this year’s production of “Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr” and being part of the Shadow Players (HHMS Theatre), please join the HHMS Theatre Google Classroom with join code: womtbf2

Congratulations to Addie Roution, Peyton Leake, and Jace Johnsen who will be representing HHMS in the Indiana Jr. All-State Band tonight in a virtual performance at the Indiana Music Educators Virtual State Conference. We are very proud of these three young musicians for representing HHMS at the State level with their talents.

If you have chosen the in-person option for your student this quarter and they need to be absent from school, we ask that they log on to Google Classroom and get their assignments. We are discouraging any in-person student from logging in to Google Meet when they are absent from school (unless they are under quarantine). The rationale behind this is due to safety concerns. We want to ensure that we have an accurate account of virtual and in-person students each day. In a school of over 1700 students, safety and accurate attendance taking are critically important. Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Attention all 8th graders! If you want your vote counted in the Most Likely To form for the yearbook, have your vote in by Thursday, January 21st. The form is in Mrs. Seewer’s Google Classroom.

A note from our Librarian ~ Dear HHMS students, all late fee fines have been deleted prior to this date, 1/14/21. From this day forward, books are due back 2 weeks from checking them out. Each late day will cost $.05. If your fee is over $1.00, you will have to make a payment in order to check out a book. If you lose or damage the book, it is your responsibility to pay the replacement fee (cost of book.)

If you are in grades 5 & 6 and you’re wanting to check out a Teen/Mature book, you will need to get a signed permission slip from your guardian/parent. I will provide you with the form.

If you are a Virtual student and wish to check out a library book, please email me @ rdurham@nafcs.org and we will work it out. All the same rules will apply.”

Your first choice (preferred) is to use our Incident-IQ Help Desk system. Secondly, you can call into our support line: 1) Visit https://nafcs.incidentiq.com/ -if prompted, enter your school Google login information 2) By phone: 812-542-4700 option 1, on school days between 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM -if your call goes to voicemail, please leave a message with your name, school and overview of the issue you are experiencing. Please do not call your school building directly and ask for tech support. The options above are the best methods to make a request.
